brettsridelogo-acceptchallenge1.jpgBrett’s Ride for Rhabdo is a unique community and family cycling event that focuses attention on the fight against pediatric cancer and celebrates survivorship. All proceeds benefit research and awareness for all types of childhood cancer.

The event was founded in honor of Brett Gosnell, a beloved member of the Hickory community who, in 2006, lost his battle with rhabdomyosarcoma (rhabdo), a childhood cancer of the muscle that affects less than 300 children every year.  Brett inspired people with his attitude and determination through his struggle with cancer. Before his death, he challenged people to do something meaningful with their own lives and make a difference in the lives of others.

Brett’s challenge lives on through Brett’s Ride for Rhabdo, a cycling event for all skill levels, which brings families and communities together in an effort to support the fight against pediatric cancer.
