 DrumsForCures is committed to helping children and families affected by cancer. Best known for their annual signature event, drumSTRONG™, the DrumsForCures charity organization is partnering with Levine Children’s Hospital to introduce the d = BC2 (drumSTRONG = BEATingChildhoodCancer) matching funds campaign to help beat childhood cancer. DrumsForCures introduces an exciting, creative way to educate the community, support survivorship and raise funds to “BEAT” cancer.
drumSTRONG™
 drumSTRONG™ encourages people of all ages to focus on cancer awareness, education, support, and funding for research. The event, which is registered with the Guinness World Records to hold the planet’s longest continuous drum-a-thon ever, is held each year in the pastures of Misty Meadows Farm in Weddington, N.C. A portion of the proceeds from drumSTRONG™ benefit the Hematology/Oncology Center at Levine Children’s Hospital.
Founded by Scott Swimmer, drumSTRONG™ honors Scott’s son Mason, who at age 15 was diagnosed with cancer. Now, three years after being diagnosed, Mason has beaten the disease and is cancer free! Scott and Mason are excited about drumSTRONG™, which was created as a natural expression of their family's desire to be a vibrant part of beating cancer.
