In 2000, Lite102.9 turned their focus toward the children of the Carolinas as they kicked-off the First Annual Lite102.9 Our Kids Come First Radiothon. Now the Radiothon has raised over $2.1 million collectively for children in our community. For four straight days, Lite staff broadcast live from Levine Children’s Hospital, sharing the stories of sick and injured children and their families through interviews and musical montages.
During the four-day event, listeners will hear children from throughout the region who have been treated at Levine Children’s Hospital. From kids battling cancer to those enduring kidney transplants, recovering from heart surgery, or living with genetic disorders…the stories provide hope and inspiration to all.
