Food Lion and Bloom Spring Into Action for Children's Miracle Network

(L-R)Misti Conner, Greg Lyons and Pat Powell at Food Lion Store #2665 in Stanley, NC are selling Children's Miracle Network balloons from June 2nd until June 23rd.

Food Lion and Bloom stores across the country are raising funds June 2nd until June 23rd for local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals – and three local districts are leading the way!

In the first week, the Salisbury and Hickory Food Lion Districts were ranked among the top 10 fundraisers, and Bloom’s Charlotte District was ranked 2nd in the company. This success marks the ongoing commitment both stores have to raising funds to help improve hospital programs and services for children in their communities.

In the last 18 years, Food Lion has raised over $30 million in its 11-state operating area. Bloom quickly joined in the fundraising effort when it was established 5 years ago. Both stores raise funds, a dollar at a time, through sales of paper icon balloons, as well as blue Children’s Miracle Network bracelets.

Kudos to the following stores for their record fundraising efforts to date: Food Lion #1552 in Concord, which raised $5,000 in the first seven days; Food Lion #2572 in Newton; Food Lion #2625 in Concord; and Bloom #2585 in Charlotte.
